In December of 2008, Axis Solutions , an affiliate of KGL Holding, was awarded the “Disaster Recovery” contract with the Kuwait International Bank (KIB), a Kuwaiti based financial institution.
The services stipulated by the contract provides the bank with implementation services in deploying a disaster recovery solution based on the Sun StorageTek storage systems to support the open systems architecture running the Solaris 10 OS, Novell and Windows Operating Systems. KIB now has two 15 terabyte systems housed in the bank's primary data center in Kuwait City, and one 15 terabyte system being deployed at KIB’s disaster recovery site in Farwaniya.
According to KIB, Axis Solutions was awarded the contract due to its simplicity, long-forecasting approach and compatibility with the existing infrastructure and architecture at KIB.  With the application of Axis’ expertise, the new features will assist the bank in implementing its critical applications in a safe manner.
